PaperTale becomes more than just a concept with the launch of the first version of the app.
Communication with the consumer is a central to PaperTale’s ideology and so after the lessons learnt in the Kickstarter, the first version of the PaperTale app was developed. The whole idea here was to make traceability fun, engaging, educational and most of all easy for the consumer. All they would have to do is scan an NFC tag on a “PaperTale’d” garment and then see all the production information, including being able to interact with supply chain actors. In most parts this was received well, however the industry wasn’t quite ready for some of the more futuristic ideas (like being able to tip workers).
